A SPECIAL STORYBOARDING WORKSHOP

(His films include: HITCH, DIE HARD 3, & DEAD PRESIDENTS)
FRIDAY, MAY 25 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm ($15)
Topics David Cooney will cover include:
- Working with the director and producer to turn the script into the first pass of visual images
- Techniques for analyzing and visualizing the script
- Looking for conforming imagery to build a dynamic texture in the film
- Creating quick sketches with pencil and paper
Participants will storyboard a scene, and the two showing the most promise as storyboard artists will have their work featured along with David's work at the June 7
th salon.
Where: Brooklyn Young Filmmakers Center Office, near Fort Greene Park off of Myrtle Avenue. No drop-ins. Directions to our office will be given when you register:

David Cooney will give an overview of the skills necessary to becoming a Storyboard Artist and how to develop a career by collaborating successfully with directors, building your resumes and portfolios, and marketing your work. T wo participants from the May 25th Storyboarding Workshop will present their storyboards and dialogue with David about what they are learning or question about storyboarding.
